U COUNT JANUARY 2016 PRAYER NOTES

U COUNT JANUARY 2016 PRAYER NOTES

Praise and Prayer

January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Please pray as our nation focuses on the reality of trafficking that our citizens would be emboldened to take awareness to action and join in the fight against these crimes against humanity. Look for opportunities to discuss what is happening in the world with people in your life.

Town Hall with Senator Kefalas – January 23, 10:30, Harmony Library

Please pray for this very important community forum to talk about local trafficking issues

U COUNT Campaign Spotlight Weekend!

January 30/31

All services – Timberline Rd. and Windsor Campuses

This weekend is huge for us! Pray that as we share with Timberline how much their generosity has changed lives around the world that:

  • hearers would be sensitive to ways God could use them in this fight
  • those is attendance who have experienced sexual exploitation, personally, would be enpowered and encouraged to get any help they need
  • that Marketplace product sales would be fantastic
  • that there would be financial generosity toward our 2016 Global and Domestic Projects
  • that all our wonderful U COUNT volunteers working that weekend would feel relaxed and comfortable in their roles.
  • Pray for Pastor Jeff Lucas as he preaches a powerful message about “Doors Of Opportunity”.

Domestic:

Focus: Law Enforcement

Please pray for the Sheriff’s Office, Fort Collins Police Services, Loveland and Windsor Police Services.  Please pray for the Lord’s revelation of those who are perpetrating trafficking crimes and justice to be served to them and for those who are their victims. Also, pray for integrity, courage and protection for our police officers. Pray law enforcement in our area takes a firm, confrontive stand against these crimes to protect those currently being trafficked and those young people who are vulnerable to this.  Also, for the possibility of education of the community about these crimes by officers.  Thank you!

From our partners in New Delhi:

Thank you all for praying for us and our work!

Praise!

We were blessed last month to participate in many Christmas celebrations and parties.  We had over 50 ladies attend our Christmas celebration at the Outreach Center in the heart of the Red Light District – many were first time visitors.  We also had the chance to pray with 4 ladies after the service.  God is moving!

Needs:

Two mothers whose daughters were part of our Home in the past attended the Christmas celebration at the Outreach Center and are now considering returning them to Suraksha (Girl’s Home) again. Please pray for wisdom and guidance as we walk through this process with these mothers and daughters again. Pray for the daughters “Aasha”, “Ambu”, “Chari”.

We need special prayer for our staff – pray for wisdom and maturity for all our staff.

Please pray for “Geeta”, our home manager.  She is handling staff issues, children issues, maintenance issues, so much!  Please pray for wisdom and discernment as she deals with all these situations.

We continue to need more staff for all three areas of our work:  Boy’s Home, Girl’s Home and Outreach Center.  Please pray that the Lord will send workers to us quickly.

We continue to look for property for a permanent place for the Boy’s and Girl’s Home.  Please pray that God will open the door for us in 2016 to purchase land.

Many of the children are sick with colds due the winter season.  Pollution in Delhi is so bad this year.  Please pray for health for everyone in Suraksha.

Please pray for “Anna” and “Mark.  They have behavioral issues and don’t want to study in school, do homework, or listen to the staff.
